Its purpose is the exchange among existing and potential members of the Working Group "Teaching with Objects”. Teaching with Objects is a platform for teaching and learning with (scientific) objects.

Originating in an Erasmus+ project, the joint working group has been formed in December 2025 with the support of the two organizations Universeum (European Academic Heritage Network, https://www.universeum-network.eu/) and UMAC (ICOM Committee for University Museums and Collections, http://umac.icom.museum/).
