spoken-typology - Spoken Typology

Subject: Spoken Typology

Description: This listserv is for researchers in (general) linguistics who are interested in how taking data from non-written modes seriously can advance our general understanding of language. Researchers may be interested in phenomena in single languages or in cross-linguistic comparison; we are, however, united in our wish to centre spoken and signed data in linguistic theorising.

You are encouraged to use this listserv actively! Consider using it as a way of communicating with others about issues you are having with your analysis or to share events or calls which may be of wider interest. Subscribers are also able to access the listserv subscription list to find contact emails for relevant researchers; note that this list is not open to the public and subscription to the listserv is moderated by the owner of the list (currently: Naomi Peck). Messages to the listserv are being archived.
