Subject: Single Parents in Academia

Description: This is a support and networking group for parents in academia who are navigating the challenges of being single parents- or who are parenting under similarly complex circumstances.

This includes colleagues who:

-Are raising children alone in Germany while their partners remain in their home countries,
-Share custody and caregiving responsibilities with a former partner, or
-Face the dual demands of academic life and parenting without consistent support.

The aim is to create an informal yet professional support network that acknowledges and addresses the specific challenges of this life situation and also provides a space to share experiences and best practices that others can learn from.
