Guten Tag,
seit drei Jahren beschäftigt sich die Deutsche Nationalbibliothek intensiver mit der Sammlung von digitaler Musik. Digitale Musikveröffentlichungen, die als Download oder Stream angeboten werden, gehören, ebenso wie physische Tonträger, zum gesetzlichen
Sammelauftrag der DNB.
Netzpublikationen der Musik konnten bislang noch nicht in die Sammlung aufgenommen werden. Die technischen Voraussetzungen zum automatisierten Import sind nun geschaffen. Im Frühsommer 2024 startet die Pilotphase.
Die Metadaten über ein Album und Track(s) der Netzpublikationen der Musik erscheinen in der Reihe O (Online-Publikationen) der Deutschen Nationalbibliografie [1].
Für Datensätze zur Beschreibung eines einzelnen Tracks wird zukünftig MARC-Feld 773 (übergeordnete Einheit) (R) und auch der MARC Leader genutzt. Die detaillierte Information hierzu erfolgte mit dem Ankündigungsschreiben des MARC 21 Export-Release 2024.02

Good morning,
for the past three years the German National Library (DNB) has been working more intensely on the collection of digital music. Digital publications of music that are available via download or streaming are part of DNB’s collection mandate just as physical
sound recordings.
Until recently online publications of music could not be incorporated into the collection. The technical prerequisites for an automated import have now been created. The pilot phase starts in early summer of 2024.
The metadata relating to an album and track(s) of online music publications are published in series O (online publications) of the Deutsche Nationalbibliografie [1].
For data records that describe individual tracks, MARC field 773 (Host item entry) (R) as well as the MARC Leader will be used in the future. Detailed information on this was given in the announcement of MARC 21 export release 2024.02 [2].
